Angkor Institution Simplifies Ticket Purchase Process for Tourists

New Policy to Streamline Entry for Visitors, with Focus on Technology and Efficiency
The Angkor Institution has introduced new policies to simplify ticket purchases for foreign tourists visiting the Angkor Resort. From the end of September 2024, one-day tickets will no longer require tourists to provide personal details like photos, nationality, age, or gender. However, visitors purchasing 3-day or 7-day passes will still need to submit a photo until the end of the year.

Additionally, the institution will reduce the number of checkpoints at the four main entrances, moving security checks to the temple entrances to improve the visitor experience. The institution is also advancing its ticketing system by introducing self-service machines and a mobile app to streamline the process and promote electronic payments.

These changes reflect Angkor Institution’s efforts to modernize and create a more convenient, efficient experience for the millions of tourists who visit annually.
