Australian Navy Vessel Visits Sihanoukville to Strengthen Regional Ties

HMAS Perth’s Port Call Part of Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2024 Mission
The Royal Australian Navy’s frigate HMAS Perth has docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port for a three-day visit as part of the Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2024 (IPE 2024) initiative. This visit aims to deepen regional partnerships through military exercises, cultural exchanges, and discussions on humanitarian assistance and security. The Australian delegation, led by Commodore Michael John Harris, was welcomed by Cambodian naval officials, with activities including a friendly beach volleyball match between sailors. This marks the 16th visit by an Australian naval vessel to Cambodia since 2003.
