The "One ASEAN Startup Award Pre-Event" was officially opened at the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh by Minister of Commerce Mrs. CHAM Nimul. Organized by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), the event brought together key stakeholders to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the ASEAN region.

In her speech, Mrs. CHAM Nimul highlighted the importance of startups in driving socio-economic development and urged Cambodian entrepreneurs and youth to seize the opportunities presented by the program. She emphasized the need for embracing digital transformation, building regional networks, and fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs to contribute to Cambodia's economic growth.

The Minister outlined several strategic recommendations, including supporting the initiative, encouraging local participation, and expanding global networking to ensure Cambodia’s active role in the regional innovation landscape.
