At the JCI ASPAC (Junior Chamber International Asia and Pacific) Business Dialogue and Matching event this morning, Cambodia’s Commerce Minister, Mrs. Cham Nimul, showcased the abundant investment opportunities in Cambodia. The event, themed "Business Opportunities in Cambodia," featured collaborative discussions led by Minister of Tourism Sok Soken and other key stakeholders.

In her opening speech, Mrs. Cham Nimul emphasized Cambodia’s robust business environment, noting an average economic growth of over 7 percent annually over the past two decades. She attributed this growth to the country’s political stability, sound economic policies, and the government’s dedication to fostering public-private partnerships.

The Minister stressed the Cambodian government's commitment to enhancing domestic regulatory frameworks to boost business competitiveness and improve the business landscape. She invited investors to leverage Cambodia’s economic vitality, strategic geographic location, and advancements in digital technology.

“Cambodia is open for business, ready to welcome investors looking to tap into our growing economy, strategic location, or cutting-edge digital advancements,” stated Mrs. Cham Nimul.

She highlighted digital transformation as a key part of Cambodia’s development agenda, mentioning initiatives such as the Cambodia Data Exchange (CAMdx), verify.gov.kh, the National Single Window, CambodiaTrade.com, and the Cambodia Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021-2035. Additionally, she noted the Digital Skill Development Road Map (2024-2035) and innovative digital payment systems like Bakong, showcasing the country’s focus on using digital technologies to enhance efficiency, transparency, and global competitiveness.
