During the Forbes Global CEO Conference in Bangkok, Suphachai Chearavanont, CEO of Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, emphasized Thailand's potential to transform into the "Switzerland of ASEAN." He anticipated that foreign tourism would rise to 40 million by 2025, which would positively impact the retail sector.
Suphachai also mentioned that the China Plus One strategy, which aims to diversify supply chains beyond China, offers new opportunities for Thailand. By managing diplomatic relations between the US and China, Thailand is positioned as an attractive site for global investment.
