Key Appointments and Strategic Priorities Highlight Ceremony
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Keut Rith chaired a significant ceremony this Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Battambang province to introduce the new Royal Government Working Groups for Rukkiri and Maung Russey districts. The event was attended by senior leaders from the Ministries of Justice and Interior, local authorities, government officials, and residents.

Minister Keut Rith congratulated Mao Chandara, now chairing the Working Group for Rukkiri District, and Chin Malin, the new chair for Maung Russey District. He praised the newly appointed members for their dedication to local development.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the Royal Government's current strategic priorities under the Pentagon Strategy of the 7th legislature of the National Assembly, initiated by Prime Minister Hun Manet. He highlighted five key measures for local governance, particularly the "Safe Village-Commune-Sangkat" policy, aimed at eradicating drug trafficking and usage.

Keut Rith also called for strict actions against gang-related activities, aligning with directives from the Prime Minister on May 23, 2024.

In his concluding remarks, the Minister outlined comprehensive directives for the Working Groups, including maintaining peace and political stability, enhancing local governance, improving public services, and boosting local development through resource mobilization and investment. These initiatives aim to improve living standards and ensure efficient service delivery in accordance with the government’s policies.
