Hong Kong will increase flights to Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, as part of new agreements signed during Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu’s visit.

Cathay Pacific Airways will offer daily services to Phnom Penh starting in late October.

Thirteen agreements, including those on trade and aviation, were signed during the trip, highlighting both sides' commitment to boosting tourism and economic cooperation.

Cathay Group and Hong Kong Airlines also signed MOUs with their Cambodian counterparts.

Future plans include possibly resuming direct flights to Siem Reap.

In addition, discussions to facilitate easier visa processes for Cambodian visitors were held.

Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Manet, who recently took over leadership, expressed optimism about the strengthened ties.

Similar agreements are expected as Lee’s delegation continues to Vietnam.
