The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia marked the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day with a ceremony on Friday. Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang highlighted Vietnam’s progress in industrialization and modernization, aiming for high-income status by 2045. He noted that trade between Vietnam and Cambodia reached nearly $7 billion in the first eight months of 2024, with expectations to surpass $10 billion by year’s end.

Cambodian officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Sok Chenda Sophea, praised the strong bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation for mutual benefit. Similar celebrations were held in Laos, reinforcing the close ties between the neighboring countries.
