Hun Manet Calls for Unity in Cambodia to Sustain Peace and Progress

Prime Minister Hun Manet, speaking during the O’ Te Dam inauguration in Mondulkiri, called on Cambodians to unite in preserving peace for continued development. He praised the long-fought peace rooted since nineteen ninety-eight, a result of the Paris Peace Agreements, and urged citizens to protect it. He affirmed Cambodia's independence and its government's commitment to growth in the economy, agriculture, and education to sustain the progress achieved and prepare for future population growth.
On October twenty-fourth, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged national unity to preserve peace during the inauguration of O’ Te Dam in Mondulkiri province.

Highlighting the significance of peace as the foundation for development, he warned against actions undermining national unity, citing the peace tree metaphorically planted in nineteen ninety-eight as a legacy of the Paris Peace Agreements signed in nineteen ninety-one.

Hun Manet celebrated the peace achieved over the last twenty-five years, attributing it to efforts by Cambodian leaders and armed forces.

Acknowledging past challenges, he assured continued efforts from the Royal Government to support growth in sectors such as economy, agriculture, and education.

Hun Manet reassured that Cambodia remains independent and sovereign, with plans to accommodate a growing population by fostering economic growth and development, with a focus on northeastern regions.
