The ride-hailing market in Cambodia has become more competitive with the launch of Maxim, a new service now operating in Phnom Penh. Maxim aims to attract users with low prices, offering tuk tuk rides starting at 2,000 riel, and convenient app features such as ride sharing and 24/7 customer support.

Maxim offers tuk tuks, cars, and remorques with the option to book rides in advance. The service promotes driver satisfaction by providing flexible working hours and zero percent commission on orders, allowing drivers to keep all their earnings. The accompanying Taxsee Driver app helps drivers optimize their routes and accept nearby orders to save fuel and time.

Thol Than, head of the Maxim unit in Cambodia, announced plans to expand to three additional cities by the end of the year. “Our goal is to make trips more affordable for clients, more profitable for drivers, and safer for both sides,” he said. Maxim, already established in five Southeast Asian countries, believes its services will meet the demands of Cambodian customers.
