The permanent border crossing at the Thai-Cambodian Friendship Bridge, located in Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo province, officially opened today. Situated opposite Stung Bot in Poi Pet, Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia, the Nong Ian-Stung Bot crossing operates daily from six in the morning to ten at night. This new checkpoint is designed to reduce congestion at the Ban Khlong Luek and Aranyaprathet checkpoints, facilitating smoother transport of goods and fostering increased trade and tourism in the border region.

In addition to the new Friendship Bridge crossing, the Chong Sa-ngam border crossing in Phu Sing district, Si Sa Ket province, has extended its operating hours. Now open from seven in the morning to ten at night, the Chong Sa-ngam checkpoint, located opposite Chong Chom in Anlong Veng district, Oddar Meanchey province, adds two extra hours to its previous schedule. This extension responds to the rising economic activities and growing trade demands at the Chong Sa-ngam crossing, further strengthening bilateral relations and economic integration between Thailand and Cambodia.

These developments reflect the commitment of both nations to enhance infrastructure and support regional economic growth.
