Cambodia is witnessing a shift in attitudes toward sexual health education, especially among Generation Z. Traditionally a taboo subject, discussions on sexual and reproductive health are gaining traction thanks to youth-led initiatives and education programs. Organisations like Plan International Cambodia (PIC) are empowering young volunteers to bring knowledge of reproductive health to rural areas.

One of these initiatives is led by Green Lady Cambodia, a group that promotes menstrual health and gender-based violence awareness. Founder Hok Sovanvotey’s goal is to introduce reusable menstrual products and advocate for comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) in schools, helping address the unmet needs of young Cambodians.

Recognising the need for change, Cambodia's Ministry of Education has integrated CSE into the national curriculum, offering students crucial knowledge on gender equality, reproductive health, and disease prevention. Collaboration with organisations such as UNFPA has also led to the creation of mobile apps, providing easy access to sexual health information for adolescents.
