On December 9, Cambodia commemorated National and International Anti-Corruption Day with a focus on improving public service delivery under the theme: "Good public service, people’s love and support." Prime Minister Hun Manet highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in public administration, emphasizing the importance of serving the people with integrity.

In his message, Prime Minister Manet stressed the government’s commitment to strengthening legal frameworks to fight corruption through education, prevention, and enforcement. He noted that the government has implemented reforms aimed at improving efficiency, equity, and sustainability, particularly in public finance, justice, and administrative management. These measures aim to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens while ensuring that public institutions operate with integrity.

The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU), Cambodia’s chief inspection body, has also ramped up its efforts to engage the public in the fight against corruption. In the past three years, the ACU has carried out outreach activities in various districts, schools, universities, and workplaces, educating citizens on how to report corruption and promoting transparency. The ACU’s engagement has significantly raised awareness about the importance of preventing corruption in both public and private sectors, making it clear to citizens how they can participate in efforts to combat this issue.
