Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh Emphasizes Strong Bilateral Ties with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun

Vietnam-Cambodia Relations Strengthened During Commemoration of Dien Bien Phu Victory
In a warm reception in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun and his delegation, who are in Vietnam to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. This historic event not only celebrates Vietnam's triumph but also underscores the enduring solidarity between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

PM Chinh reiterated Vietnam's commitment to nurturing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia across various sectors. Party cooperation remains pivotal in guiding the bilateral relationship, characterized by solidarity, friendship, and mutual respect.

Expressing Vietnam's desire for close collaboration with Cambodia and other Mekong River basin countries, PM Chinh emphasized sustainable river management based on the Mekong Agreement and Mekong River Commission regulations.

The discussion also touched upon addressing challenges faced by Vietnamese-origin communities in Cambodia and facilitating Vietnamese businesses' investments.

Deputy Prime Minister Savoeun echoed sentiments of solidarity, affirming Cambodia's commitment to strengthening relations with Vietnam. Both leaders recognized the substantial growth in bilateral ties and pledged to enhance high-level exchanges, implement agreements effectively, and boost economic connectivity, especially in border economic zones.
