Senate President Hun Sen Donates $4.8 Million from Charity Football Match to Healthcare and Soldiers' Families

Senate President Hun Sen's $4.8 Million Donation
In a remarkable act of generosity, Senate President Hun Sen has announced the distribution of nearly $5 million raised from a charity football match to benefit healthcare facilities and families of soldiers in Kampong Speu province. The funds, totaling $4.8 million, were gathered through philanthropic endeavors linked to the event, demonstrating a powerful commitment to community welfare.

In a recent social media post, Hun Sen outlined the allocation plan, which includes substantial contributions to three hospitals and financial aid for families affected by a military incident in the province's 3rd Zone. Notably, the Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap is set to receive $500,000, while the Japanese Heart Hospital for Children in Kampong Speu will benefit from $300,000. The largest portion, $3.8 million, is earmarked for Kantha Bopha Hospital.

Furthermore, in a gesture of compassion towards families impacted by a tragic bombing in the 3rd Military Zone, $200,000 will be distributed to the families of 20 soldiers, each receiving $10,000.

This initiative exemplifies Hun Sen's unwavering dedication to bolstering healthcare services and extending support to those affected by military operations in Cambodia.
