Singapore has deported Su Wenqiang and Wang Baosen to Cambodia following their involvement in the country's largest money laundering case. The two men, aged 32, have been barred from re-entering Singapore, as confirmed by an Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) spokesman.

Su and Wang were among 10 foreigners arrested in August 2023 during a money laundering probe that led to the seizure of over $3 billion in cash and assets. Su, a Cambodian national, was sentenced to 13 months' jail for money laundering offenses, while Wang, who holds passports from China and Vanuatu, received the same sentence for similar charges.

Su's offenses included possessing illicit cash from online gambling and using criminal proceeds to purchase a luxury car. Wang, on the other hand, was found guilty of falsifying documents related to his funds and employment in Singapore.

Their deportation comes as part of Singapore's efforts to combat financial crimes and uphold its strict legal standards against money laundering.
