Hundreds of Thai and Cambodian runners participated in the Two Kingdoms Run 2025 on March 16 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The event, held in Sa Kaeo province, was inaugurated by Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong and attended by Thai and Cambodian ambassadors, along with provincial governors. Runners crossed the Thai-Cambodian Friendship Bridge into Banteay Meanchey, symbolizing unity through sports.

Participants could choose between three race distances: 11.3 km, 7.4 km, and a friendly 4 km run. The longest route took runners through key landmarks on both sides of the border, while shorter races provided a more accessible way to take part in the celebrations. Organizers emphasized the event’s role in fostering goodwill, tourism, and cross-cultural exchange between the neighboring nations.

Officials hailed the run as a successful demonstration of bilateral friendship, strengthening ties beyond politics and trade. The Thai and Cambodian governments continue to explore collaborative events that highlight their long-standing partnership, with sports playing a growing role in their diplomatic engagement.
