Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, Nguyễn Minh Tâm, highlighted the vibrant atmosphere in Vientiane as Laos gears up for the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits. With over 20 planned events and extensive preparations in place, Laos is showcasing its commitment to successfully hosting the summits. These efforts are crucial for advancing ASEAN’s collective goals, especially as the bloc works toward realizing its ASEAN Community Vision 2025 amidst global and regional challenges.

Vietnam has played a pivotal role in supporting Laos during its chairmanship, providing US$1 million and donating cars and equipment to ensure the success of the summits. This support extends beyond logistics, as Vietnam has closely collaborated with Laos on strategic issues, reinforcing the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations. Such coordination reflects the spirit of ASEAN unity and the two countries' commitment to regional cooperation and development.

In addition to summit preparations, Vietnam continues to assist Laos in areas such as economic connectivity, education, and bilateral projects.
