BKFC Eyes Cambodia for Landmark Event in 2025 Amid Global Expansion Plans

Bareknuckle Fighting Championship Aims to Tap into Cambodia’s Rich Martial Arts Heritage
Bareknuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is setting its sights on Cambodia for a potential landmark event in 2025. BKFC President David Feldman revealed the ambitious plan, envisioning an event attended by up to one hundred thousand spectators.

Cambodia, with its deep-rooted martial arts tradition in Kun Khmer—Cambodian kickboxing renowned for its use of elbows—presents an ideal destination for BKFC’s expansion. Local stars like Pich Sambath, known for his relentless fighting style, could play a central role in attracting both local and international audiences.

BKFC, which launched nine years ago, has rapidly evolved from niche combat entertainment to a mainstream global phenomenon, often featuring high-profile fighters, including former UFC veterans. Feldman emphasized the promotion’s vision to dominate the combat sports landscape, drawing comparisons to the UFC's meteoric rise.

The organization also announced plans for a high-stakes fighting tournament in 2025, with a cash prize of twenty-five million United States dollars and the launch of a BKFC video game to further expand its global footprint.

With Cambodia’s vibrant martial arts culture and growing appetite for international combat sports events, BKFC’s proposed debut in the Kingdom could mark a transformative moment for both the organization and Cambodia’s combat sports scene.
