In a significant stride towards environmental conservation and sustainable development, Cambodia is set to unveil its first regional nursery in Tbong Khmum province. Spearheaded by Dr. Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, this pioneering project is poised to revolutionize Cambodia's forestry landscape.

Located in Village 44, Preah Theat Commune, Ou Reang Ov District, the nursery boasts a remarkable production capacity of 1.2 million seedlings annually. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology including a solar-powered automatic irrigation system, this facility represents a bold step towards carbon neutrality.

The establishment of this regional nursery aligns perfectly with the Royal Government of Cambodia's Environmental Chakra Strategy 2023–2028, aimed at expanding forest cover by over 60% by 2050. With a commitment to protect, preserve, and conserve natural resources across 73 protected areas spanning more than 7 million hectares, Cambodia is on a mission to secure its environmental legacy for future generations.

This initiative not only signifies Cambodia's dedication to environmental stewardship but also underscores the collective effort of its citizens towards a greener, more sustainable future.
