Cambodian Karate Team Shines at Southeast Asian Championships

Impressive Performance Secures Seven Medals in Regional Competition
In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Cambodian karate athletes have made their mark on the regional stage, returning from the 11th Southeast Asian Karate Federation Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, with a total of seven medals.

From April 24 to 26, the Cambodian team showcased their prowess, clinching one silver and six bronze medals across a range of categories. Their achievements were particularly notable in individual senior male kumite events across different weight classes, as well as in team competitions for both male kumite and kata (performance), including a standout performance in senior female kata.

With a delegation of 39 members, including coaches, officials, and athletes, the Cambodian team demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and dedication throughout the championships. Their triumphant return to Phnom Penh on April 27 marked a proud moment for Cambodian martial arts and underscored the nation's growing prominence in regional competitions.
