Vietnam is preparing to host the ASEAN Future Forum 2025 with the theme "Building a United, Inclusive, and Resilient ASEAN Amidst Global Transformations." The forum, scheduled for February 25–26 in Hanoi, will gather officials, scholars, and experts to discuss innovative policies for regional growth and integration.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son announced the forum during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in Malaysia on January 19. The retreat was chaired by Malaysian Foreign Minister Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, who emphasized Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship theme for 2025, "Inclusivity and Sustainability."

Vietnam reiterated its dedication to ASEAN unity, external relations, and advancing negotiations for a Code of Conduct in the East Sea, in accordance with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
