Home Taste Food, a fish processing enterprise based in Siem Reap province, has achieved a remarkable milestone by exporting its first batch of processed fish products to Australia, marking a historic moment for Cambodia's seafood industry.

Mrs. Sim Sereyroth, the founder of Home Taste Food, expressed pride as approximately 4.7 tonnes of processed fish products embarked on their journey to Australia. She emphasized that this achievement underscores the quality and international competitiveness of Cambodian seafood products.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) has extended its full support to Home Taste Food, recognizing the significance of this milestone in showcasing Cambodia's potential in the global market. Ms. Im Rachna, Under Secretary of State and spokeswoman for the MAFF, reiterated the ministry's commitment to fostering further export opportunities for Cambodian enterprises.

Home Taste Food's success is attributed in part to the extensive training provided through the CAPFISH-Capture program, a collaborative effort between the MAFF’s Fisheries Administration and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). This initiative equips businesses with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet international standards and requirements.

Furthermore, the achievement of exporting processed fish products has earned Home Taste Food the prestigious Cambodia Quality Seal (CQS) Certification. This recognition acknowledges the company's adherence to rigorous standards of quality and safety, ensuring consumer trust in Cambodian fish and fishery products.
