Global Alumni Convention Celebrates 10th Edition with Education and Career Expo

Event to attract thousands of students and professionals from around the world
The Global Alumni Convention (GAC) is celebrating its 10th edition this November with the Global Education and Career Expo. Taking place from November 8 to 10 at Sofitel Phnom Penh and Sofitel Siem Reap, the event will draw thousands of students, professionals, and representatives from countries including Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, and Canada.

The convention will begin with an official opening and gala dinner on November 8, bringing together alumni, educational institution representatives, government officials, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and industry leaders. Mao Sreng, GAC convenor and country director of IDP Education and the Australian Centre for Education (ACE), highlighted the convention’s role in shaping students' futures by providing a dynamic networking platform.

Following the gala, the Global Education and Career Expo will offer students the opportunity to engage with representatives from secondary, vocational, and higher education institutions worldwide. The expo will feature panel discussions with experts, alumni, and industry leaders, offering insights into international education, career development, and essential skills for success in today’s interconnected world.

Key stakeholders such as ACE and IDP IELTS, along with scholarship providers like Australia Awards, New Zealand Scholarships, Chevening, and Fulbright, will participate in the event. IDP Education operates across 230 offices in 90 countries, connecting students to world-class education, while ACE provides English language teaching to over 100,000 students from more than 30 nationalities annually.
