Bangkok is gearing up to host the Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024, a grand celebration of the Thai New Year, from April 11 to 15. Recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the festival will feature a range of exciting activities along Ratchadamnoen Klang road and Sanam Luang ceremonial ground. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invites everyone to join in the festivities, showcasing and preserving Thailand's rich cultural heritage.

The highlight of the event will be a spectacular parade led by Miss Thailand Universe 2023, Anntonia Porsild, as the Songkran Goddess. The parade, featuring representations from 16 provinces and Thailand's soft power, including an LGBTQ parade, will proceed through Ratchadamnoen Klang road. Attendees can enjoy concerts by renowned artists like 4Eve, Milli, FHero, and Bodyslam, along with diverse food options from food trucks and cultural performances at Sanam Luang.

A special attraction is the towering dancing fountain show, accompanied by an EDM zone for dancing and water splashing. Over 1,200 drones will illuminate the sky with choreographed patterns, blending modern technology with traditional festivities.
