The A320-200, bearing registration XU-819, landed in Phnom Penh on April 20, paving the way for the airline's ambitious plans to transform air travel in Cambodia.

Scheduled services are set to commence on May 2, with twice-daily roundtrips connecting Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and Siem Reap to Sihanoukville. The airline's CEO, Vissoth Nam, expressed enthusiasm for the venture, emphasizing AirAsia Cambodia's vision to make air travel an integral part of Cambodia's transportation network.

The joint venture between Capital A subsidiary AirAsia Aviation Group and local hospitality group Sivilai Asia aims to provide affordable air travel options to Cambodians and tourists alike. With plans to expand its fleet and focus on destinations within four hours of Phnom Penh, AirAsia Cambodia is poised to revolutionize the aviation landscape in Cambodia.
