Cambodian Students Achieve Top Global ACCA Scores
CamEd Business School celebrates international success in financial education
Two students from CamEd Business School have made history by earning the highest global scores in the December 2024 Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams. Ms. So Lyza and Mr. Sieng Bun Leang topped the Foundations in Auditing and Foundations in Financial Management exams, surpassing candidates from major financial hubs like the UK and Singapore. Their achievement marks a significant milestone for Cambodia’s growing presence in international accounting and finance.
At a ceremony on February 21, CamEd President Casey Barnett emphasized the institution’s commitment to excellence, noting that years of faculty development and curriculum refinement have led to this success. ACCA Cambodia Country Manager Neou Ratna highlighted the rapid growth of Cambodia’s accounting sector, with hundreds of students now earning ACCA certifications annually. To further their education, CamEd will sponsor a study tour to the U.S. for the top-ranking students, providing them with global exposure and career insights.
His Excellency Prof. Ngy Tayi of the Ministry of Economy and Finance commended CamEd’s role in raising financial education standards in Cambodia.
